Have been busy for the first part of the year in organising everything for my family from South Africa to arrive end March. We had an amazing month with our family and such joy in having the two little girls aged 3 and 4 visiting with Mom and Dad. We did as much as we could fit in with the little ones such as Australian Zoo, Underwater World at Moolooaba and the usual picnics, parks, shopping, eating, drinking etc.
My son had brought me a beautiful Cannon 20D camera so it was a whole new ball game trying to work out how to use it. Much to his disgust I still have to put it onto automatic as I have not quite mastered all the buttons and switches that go with this beautiful camera. Thank you so much my Son. I will get there I promise. We took so many photos during the month and I think my total was about 1390, probably 13 was about the best of the lot. I have been spending time using Lightroom and it is a really good programme. Obviously what with learning the new camera, the new Lightroom programme and trying to edit and print as many photos as I could to do my favourite hobby which is Scrapbooking. I use the Creative Memory albums and papers etc and have some lovely memories of all our holidlays and family. The weather in Queensland is starting to get a bit nippy in the early mornings but most days it warms up to a beautiful 24 or 26 degrees C, so who can complain about that. My husband has been very busy making new bookcases for the family and ourselves so that has kept us both busy during the past few months.
Need to take some time off to go out and about again armed with the camera but with our fuel costs climbing every day, it makes for an expensive outing. After all if I can take 28 photos of the spider webs around the garden why go out. !!

Been around the world and found
That only stupid people are breeding
The cretins cloning and feeding
And I don't even own a TV
